Four Clerics Ignoring a Vision

$68.00

Image of Four Clerics Ignoring a Vision

A reproduction of an original oil painting by Dan Piraro. The original work is four feet square, oil on canvas, was completed in the early 1990s, and remains in his private collection. Piraro's wife posed as the floating vision, and the three large clerics were modeled by friends of Piraro's: two college professors and an art gallery owner.

The fourth cleric referred to in the title appears on the small wooden placard held by the monkey in the bottom right corner. The man pulling the curtain aside was a personal friend of Piraro's and also appears as the kneeling character in "The Virgin and Her Daughters." (Also available as a print.)

16"x16" print on archival fine art paper with a soft textured surface similar to traditional watercolor and etching paper.

Prints are created and shipped within 3-7 days of order, unless otherwise stated at checkout.
